Karma Review: Coupons, Saved Items, and Cash Rewards

Karma is a shopping companion with a browser extension and a mobile app. It is built to remember items, watch prices, and try coupons at checkout, not to replace the retailer's own cart.

Karma, at karmanow.com, presents itself as a way to shop from a browser extension or a phone app and still catch a coupon or a reward. The public homepage also describes a wishlist: save a product, then hear if the price drops or the item is back in stock.

That is a different job from a plain coupon list. A list shows codes. Karma asks you to keep shopping inside its tools so it can apply a code and track a reward. Both can fail. The retailer still decides whether a code changes the total.

On September 29, 2026, Karma's homepage published its own figures, including 6.5 million users, a $5 sign-up cash offer, and average savings and cash-back numbers. Those are Karma's marketing figures. This review does not re-audit them. The same page says a welcome bonus is subject to section 5 of Karma's terms, and that Karma may earn a commission when you buy through its links or coupons.

What Karma actually offers

Separate the instant coupon from the later reward. They do not reach your order in the same way.

Saved items

The extension is meant to hold products you are not ready to buy, so you are not keeping the same tab open in five stores.

Price and stock alerts

Karma says it can tell you when a saved price drops or an item is back in stock. An alert is a prompt, not a discount by itself.

Coupons at checkout

Karma says it finds and applies a coupon automatically. You should still read the order summary. An accepted code that does not change the price did not save money.

Cash rewards

Cash is not the same as a coupon. Karma advertises cash at sign-up and cash back on shopping. Payout rules, including the $5 offer, sit in its terms.

Card rewards, in the app

Karma labels credit-card benefit comparison as available only in the mobile app. The browser extension is not that comparison tool.

Commission

Karma says it may be paid when a purchase starts from its link or coupon. That does not, by itself, tell you which code is best for your cart.

How to judge a Karma coupon

Add the product on the retailer's site, not only inside Karma. If Karma applies a code, check three lines: merchandise, shipping, and any reward that will not appear until later. A reward that posts next month does not lower today's total.

The sign-up offer is the easiest place to get misled. Karma's homepage advertises $5 cash at sign-up and points eligibility to its terms. Read that section before you create an account. A bonus that requires a first purchase, a specific store, or a waiting period is not the same as $5 off the cart in front of you.

Because Karma lives in the browser, it needs permission to see shopping pages. Install it only from Karma's own site or the official extension store, and skip it if you do not want a tool reading checkout pages. The purchase itself should still be completed on the retailer's website.

Who it fits, and who should look elsewhere

Karma fits a shopper who already keeps a wish list and wants one place for price alerts plus a coupon attempt. It is a weaker fit if you only need a single code for one store and do not want an extension. For that job, compare a promo-code platform or the retailer's own banner first.

If the reward is the reason you are interested, read coupon codes versus cashback before you treat Karma's cash as an instant discount. A code that cuts shipping can beat a small reward on a modest order.

What this review does not claim

Icy Coupons read the public site on September 29, 2026. We did not run a checkout test of every offer, and we did not assign a star score. A code, voucher, or reward is only useful if the final total, or the later payout, matches the terms. Read how we review coupon websites and the affiliate disclosure before you treat any savings page as advice.

Questions shoppers ask about Karma

It is both a website and a shopping tool. Karma promotes a browser extension and a mobile app that save items, watch prices, try coupons, and track cash rewards.
