How We Review Coupon Websites
Every review uses the same four checks so two coupon websites can be compared without guessing what the score means.
- 1
Website experience
Can a shopper search for a store, read the offer, and copy a code without extra pages? Mobile layout counts.
- 2
Coupon quality
Are the offers relevant, varied, and current, or is the page padded with expired codes?
- 3
Transparency and trust
Are minimums, exclusions, dates, and disclosures visible? Does the page ask for anything it does not need?
- 4
Value for shoppers
Does the site help someone find a better total, including free shipping or cashback, in less time?
How a code is checked
Before a review treats a code as useful, the test is the retailer’s order summary. The code is entered as shown. A real success changes the price, the shipping cost, or the promotion line. Text accepted by the field is not enough.
If nothing changes, the next questions are the practical ones: typos, minimum spend, product eligibility, new-customer limits, a sale already applied, an expired campaign, or a country restriction.
That checkout habit is written up on the homepage and in the guide to checking whether a coupon site is trustworthy.
What a score is not
A score is not a guarantee. Campaigns end early and product exclusions change. Preview pages on Icy Coupons say “Score: Pending” until the criteria above have been applied to a specific site. We do not invent a winner to fill a card.
Read coupon site reviews or the affiliate disclosure if you want to know how a commercial link would be labeled.
